Terms of service / Updated July 14, 2026

The terms for using Briefcast.

By creating an account or using Briefcast, you agree to use the service lawfully, protect your account and private feed credentials, and understand the limitations of automated podcast editing.

Your account

Keep access credentials private and information accurate.

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your password, session access, and private RSS URL confidential. Notify Briefcast if you believe an account or feed token has been exposed.

Registration may be open, invitation-only, or closed. Briefcast may suspend access used to evade limits, disrupt the service, access another user's data, or perform unlawful activity.

Content rights

Only process feeds you are allowed to access.

You must have the right to access and process every feed you add. Public availability does not transfer ownership of a podcast. Publishers retain their rights in source audio and associated material.

Briefcast editions are for personal listening unless you have separate rights to redistribute the underlying content. Do not publish generated audio, transcripts, or private feed URLs as a substitute for the publisher's feed.

Automated output

Summaries and transcripts can be wrong or incomplete.

Automated transcription, selection, and summarization can omit nuance, mishear words, or produce an inaccurate characterization. Do not rely on Briefcast output as professional, legal, medical, financial, safety, or compliance advice.

The complete source podcast is the authoritative record. Briefcast is a convenience for triage and listening, not a certified transcription or archival service.

Plans and availability

Subscriptions renew until canceled and service is provided as available.

Paid plans are billed at the price and cadence shown during checkout, with tax handling displayed there. Manage your subscription from Settings. Access generally continues through the paid period when cancellation is scheduled for period end.

Edition timing depends on episode length and source availability. Features, limits, pricing, and service availability may change. Briefcast does not promise uninterrupted operation or a specific preparation deadline.
